Which AI Sent vs Profound: enterprise AI visibility or lead attribution?
Profound tells large brands how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other answer engines describe and cite them, and gives their marketing team AI agents to act on it. Which AI Sent tells you which customers those answer engines actually sent. Here is when each one fits.

Summary
Choose Profound if you are a large brand or agency that needs daily prompt tracking across up to nine answer engines, citation and sentiment data, AI crawler logs and an “AI Marketer” that writes and runs marketing workflows. Its brand plans are a 7-day free trial and then Enterprise, priced on a demo call. Choose Which AI Sent if you are a small or mid-sized business, or an agency serving them, and the question is “which customers did AI send us, and what were they worth?”. It follows AI visitors to named leads, bookings and sales, and asks every customer how they found you, so it also counts people who asked ChatGPT and then phoned. It has a free plan; paid plans start at $20 a month.
Profound and Which AI Sent are not really rivals. Profound works at the top of the funnel (what AI says about you), Which AI Sent at the bottom (who AI sent and what they bought). The real choice is which question you need answered first, and what budget you have.

Where Profound is the better tool
- You need enterprise-grade AI visibility data. Daily prompt runs across up to nine answer engines, with citations, sentiment, ranking and competitor share. Our check only looks at ChatGPT each week.
- You want to know what people ask AI. Its Prompt Volumes feature estimates which prompts users type. We don’t offer that.
- You care about AI crawlers. Agent Analytics works from server logs, so it sees bots that never run JavaScript, and it can tell real AI crawlers from spoofed ones.
- You want AI to do the follow-up work. The AI Marketer and its agents research, write and report using your brand guidelines. We don’t write content.
- Security reviews are part of buying. SSO/SAML, SOC 2 Type II and role-based access are listed on its site.
Where Which AI Sent is the better tool
- You need to prove AI brings customers, not just mentions. A citation is not a sale. We keep each AI lead with its source, its pages and its value (see AI lead attribution).
- Your customers call, book or ask for a quote. Movers, trades, clinics and law firms are paid after a conversation. Only asking customers how they found you catches the ones who never clicked (why every tool undercounts).
- You want a price on the page and no sales call. Sign up, connect your site and see data the same day. The free plan has no time limit.
- You run a small agency. Our Agency plan covers 10 websites for $100 a month, with a private, view-only dashboard per client. One Profound client workspace is listed at $399 a month.
Profound alternatives
Searches for “Profound alternatives” usually come from teams who want its visibility data without an enterprise contract. By the job they do:
- Prompt trackers with public prices: Promptwatch (from $95 a month; see Which AI Sent vs Promptwatch), Peec AI, Ahrefs Brand Radar and the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit. Prices are compared in AI visibility tracking tools compared, Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives and our Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit review.
- Attribution tools: Which AI Sent, Attrifast and LeadJourney measure what AI visits turn into. See the best AI attribution tools compared.
- Free first steps: GA4 already records some AI visits (our GA4 guide has the report and regex), and you can check by hand whether AI names you with the method in AI search tracking.

Profound comparison questions
How much does Profound cost?
On 3 November 2026 Profound’s pricing page listed a free Trial (50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) and Enterprise at custom pricing for brands. For agencies it listed Agency Growth, with full client workspaces as a $399-a-month add-on, and Agency Enterprise at custom pricing. It did not list a self-serve monthly price for brands.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Profound?
For prompt tracking with a public price, Promptwatch starts at $95 a month and the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit and Ahrefs Brand Radar are add-ons to tools many teams already pay for. For measuring the visits and leads AI sends you, Which AI Sent has a free plan and paid plans from $20 a month.
Does Profound track traffic and conversions from AI?
Yes, in part. Its Agent Analytics reads server logs to show AI crawler activity and says it measures how many human visitors convert from AI search. It does not describe lead-level records, and like any tracker it cannot see customers who asked an AI and then phoned. Which AI Sent stores each lead with its AI source and asks customers how they found you.
Can I use Profound and Which AI Sent together?
Yes. Profound shows how AI answers describe and cite your brand and helps produce content; Which AI Sent shows which of the resulting visits became leads, bookings and sales. They answer different questions.
