AI referral analytics that goes past the visit
See every visit ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot send you, next to Google, social, ads and direct. Then follow those visitors to the form, the booking and the sale.
What AI referral analytics should answer
- How much traffic does AI send us? By assistant, by day, by landing page.
- How big is that next to everything else? AI’s share of your organic traffic, and how it’s moving.
- Is it any good? Do AI visitors read more pages, get in touch, buy?
- What is it worth? Leads, bookings and revenue, not just sessions.
Most analytics tools now answer the first question. Few answer the last two.
What you see in Which AI Sent
- Traffic by source, day by day. AI assistants next to Google, Bing, direct, Facebook, Yelp, other social, email and paid. Tick sources on and off and hover for daily numbers.
- AI share of organic traffic. What percentage of your unpaid discovery now comes from AI instead of search engines.
- Per-assistant breakdown. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot each get their own row. Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI, Mistral and others are grouped as Other AI.
- Instant alerts. An email the moment AI sends you a lead.
- Leads and revenue on the same screen. Click any AI number to see the people behind it and every page they read. More in AI lead attribution and AI revenue attribution.

How the data is collected
A small script loads asynchronously on your pages. It records where each visit came from (referrer and UTM), the pages viewed, and contact-form submissions. It stores no IP addresses, sets no advertising cookies, and can respect Global Privacy Control and your cookie banner. It installs in one click on WordPress and Wix, or with one line of code anywhere else (all platforms).
The hostnames we count as AI are listed in the AI traffic tracking reference.
AI referral analytics questions
What is AI referral traffic?
Visits to your website that come from a link in an AI assistant’s answer, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude or Copilot. It’s usually recorded as referral traffic unless your analytics has an AI channel.
Do I need to replace Google Analytics?
No. Keep GA4 for general website analytics. Which AI Sent adds what GA4 can’t do: tying AI visits to leads, bookings and revenue.
Will the script slow my site down?
It’s designed for negligible impact: small, loaded asynchronously after your page, sending a tiny message only when a visit starts or someone gets in touch.
How much does it cost?
From $20 a month for one website, and free during early access. See pricing.
